I didn't write anything.
Except for my summer report, summer paper, and internship report. Heh.
So, believe it or not, I managed to get a super last minute internship. I already thought I won't be able to get any internship but I did. I interned at a branch office of a smartphone in my hometown. Yes, it is a Chinese smartphone. The brand has four letters and it starts with the letter v. I don't think I have to specify what brand is that.
Anyways. It was definitely an experience for me. It is tiring and it has more responsibility. In school you only have yourself to be responsible of while in the office, you need to be responsible of, well, the brand. YEAH. I was scared and I am still scared.
I worked in the finance department, my work consisted of taking care of goods orders from clients, double-checking each client's accounts (e.g if they have any leftover money from previous transactions, their refunds, etc), and occasionally I helped my boss to translate stuff. My boss is Chinese, like not huaqiao, but legit Chinese from the Mainland. She can't speak Indonesian or English so yeah, I occasionally translated stuff for her.
My boss is a nice person but she is very detail-oriented so, a bit nitpicky but I can see where she is coming from. I was a little scared of her but not too much, just a healthy dose of fear. Besides, you're supposed to be a little scared of your boss. Not too much, just a healthy dose.
I forgot to mention but, yes, it was a paid internship. My seniors who asked about the salary said that it was a very low number but, hey, it was an internship after all. So. Yeah. At least I got paid. Some of my seniors who are in Indonesia had to go under an unpaid internship.
I am back in campus, I still have a lot of things (courses-related, especially) to take care of and the anxiety has begun to take place.
I have a feeling that my third year will be very tiring (long story, will write it later, I think).
My summer break has been fun, I guess. It didn't exactly feel like a break because I had an internship from 1st of August til 31st of August and I only met one of my closest friends three times because she had to go back early for her KKN (a.k.a Kuliah Kerja Nyata, it's like 社会实践, I really don't know how to say that in English). She goes to uni in Indonesia btw. And my other closest friend didn't come home because she, too, had an internship in Malaysia.
My definition of a break is basically lazing around and hanging out with my friends so... This time it didn't feel like a break. Heheheh.
I think that is all I can write for now...? So. Yeah. Anyways, I mentioned it in my 'About Me' page that I have a tumblr about the shenanigans I am up to in China, I decide just to move the tumblr to BlogSpot because BlogSpot is easier to access than tumblr for me. So, give my new blog a click.
