This School in China Is Aiming to Restore Women's Virtues and Moralities

humanity never cease to fail me.

ALIRGHT. This will be fun to write. HA.

look I know that I haven't covered a lot of topics in this blog and one of the topic I want to write in here is sex positivity but I still haven't gotten around to actually write it. I think that sex positivity will be somewhat related about women watching porn.

coughs. Wow, I really hope my mother and father never find this blog of mine.

ANYWAYS.

Since I never really see this school in real life, I will just react to this article and express my opinion on the whole situation. So everything I say and write in this post will be based on whatever DailyMail wrote. So, if you know better about this school or this issue please contact me and tell me if I said anything wrong.

Man, there are a lot of things that is wrong with the ideology of the school itself but I am just gonna say this first.

You might think that I am such a liberal snowflake/man-hating self-proclaimed half-ass feminist but, I actually believe that there are a lot of women out there that I know who wants to be stay-at-home moms and take care of the house instead being in the 'workforce'. And I think that is great, I respect that. It is what they want, they didn't want those things out of sense of duty, they just want to do it. It's great, being a stay-at-home mom and taking care of the house is a very noble thing to do that requires sacrifices and selflessness that until now I still can't imagine myself doing so.

Just because I said that now doesn't mean I won't change my mind. Life is a constant stage of changing and growing, I might change my mind in the future, I might not. Who knows, right?

Anyways.

Look, I know that when it comes to sex positivity and equality, Indonesia isn't really a country to be an example. As an Indonesian, I shouldn't really point fingers and I should definitely try to start a revolution before I can point fingers like this. In Indonesia, people shame young people who had sex outside of marriage by parading them naked around the city, policy makers stone/whip gay people in public just because they're gay.

And believe it or not, during high school, I used to be friends with this person who just knows more about sex, relationship, and dating than your average emotionally constipated 15 year olds and because she knows more and dated a lot, she got called a slut, easy, and cheap.

BUT. As a young woman, as a student, as a human, I feel like this kind of school shouldn't exist in general. People who shame young unmarried couple that had sex outside of marriage by parading them naked and people who whip gay people in public shouldn't exist as well. There are a lot of things that shouldn't exist but they exist anyway. Life sucks like that.

I am going off-tangent.

But, I feel like I need to cover about sex positivity first before talking about people who shame unmarried couples that had sex outside of marriage and I am just an ally so I don't want to talk about the whipping of gay people in public in fear that I am talking over the LGBTQIA+ community--all I am gonna say about that, policy makers who do that is a shit excuse of a person and I hope they rot in hell.

I think that I rambled enough about equality and the importance of letting girls do whatever they wanna do to talk about this school. So.

The school is located in Fushun and they do not pick up any fees. The school lives off of donation which is sickening, I can't believe there are sane people who willingly donate for garbage like this. The school has a boarding school system. Women who is in school must wake up at four-thirty fricken AM to do household chores until they go back to sleep.

The teachers emphasize that women are inferior to men; women should be submissive and serve nothing but as a baby machine. The school also said that women who wears make up, women who want divorces, women with career ambitions, women who slept with multiple partners, women who orders takeouts to avoid doing dishes are women without morality. Basically, the school believes that women are walk the earth to serve men and women should be in the bottom of society.

The students aren't only young women, btw. There were also 47 year old women who got sent into this school by her own husband because he wanted to restore her morality.

LOOK. If the founder of the school really wanted to open a school for women, the founder could've always make the school to be a place where women could take courses on, I don't know, cooking, sewing, crocheting, some handyman skills such as fixing a tap, simple carpenter-work, health and reproductive class, self-defense class, etc. I don't know man, if you really wanted to make a school for women this school is definitely not the way.

"wait. caffeinatedheart, the things you mentioned are the things that traditionally feminine, I thought you're a progressive millennial???" said an average Kevin in his trusty I'm-a-cisman-so-I-know-everything tone.

The answer to that is: Yes, I know that. I am not saying that only women can learn how to sew and cook but there are other things that you can teach women other than "women should be stay-at-home wives because women belong in the kitchen". I didn't mean to say that only women can learn how to crochet and sew.

This is 2017, we shouldn't be trapped in old ideas. We need to learn how to respect women, let them pursue their career, let them embrace their sexuality, let them embrace their choices.

UPDATE: YOU GUYS THE SCHOOL IS CLOSED DOWN AND TURNS OUT THE FOUNDER OF THE SCHOOL IS A LITERAL EX-MURDERER AND A GANG MEMBER.
